Hear us out - When we help others, not only are we more socially active, we are likely more physically active as well, leaving the confines of our couch and our home to get out there into the world. Furthermore, there is now evidence suggesting that generosity and happiness are linked in the brain -- helping others activates a neurochemical sense of reward in the brain, enhancing overall happiness and decreasing stress.
